Titles and metas: how your site appears on Google

Sep 27, 2026 1 min read

When someone searches on Google, each result shows a title and a description. Here you decide which text appears for each page of your site.

The list

It brings together everything with its own address: the front page (HOME), pages, categories, products, articles and FAQs. The Section column shows what type each one is.

Changing the title and description

  1. Click the item to edit it.
  2. In Title, set Default to “No” and write the title in each language. With “Yes” the content’s own title is used.
  3. In Meta, add a row named description, Default set to “No”, and write the description in each language.
  4. Save.

Good practice

  • Title: about 50-60 characters, with what you offer and where. For example “Emergency plumber in Valencia | Your company name”.
  • Description: about 150 characters that make people want to click.
  • Give each page its own title; do not repeat the same one everywhere.

Google takes days or weeks to reflect changes. To tell it about all your pages, generate the sitemap.
