If your site uses non-essential cookies (for example Google Analytics), the law requires asking visitors for prior consent and informing them in a cookie policy. This screen does both.

Enabling it

1. Set Use to “Yes”.
2. Type your company name: it is used in the policy text.
3. In Page leave “New” so the policy is created automatically, or choose a page you already have.
4. Choose whether to use the notice’s default text or write your own in each language, and the button type.
5. Click Save. If the page was created, the panel takes you to it so you can review it.

Reload

The Reload button regenerates the policy text with the current details. Use it if you change the company name. Careful: it replaces any manual changes you made to that page.

Without this notice active, Google Analytics does not load. The generated text is a starting point: check it with your legal adviser if in doubt.
